Magnolia High School announced Thursday that the school will be closed Friday and won’t reopen until Sept. 20 due to COVID-19 concerns.

Students will learn remotely during that time. Wetzel County Schools’ Tech Team will be available from 8:30-10 a.m. in the Magnolia High parking lot to help anyone from the school experiencing laptop issues. This includes people who may not previously have been issued a laptop or who need a replacement.

Food bundles will be sent to homes via courier. To opt out of receiving those bundles, families should complete the opt-out form on the Wetzel County Schools homepage at wetzelcountyschools.com.

All extracurricular and cocurricular events scheduled during the period of closure are either canceled or will be scheduled for a later date once Magnolia returns to in-person instruction.

Starting at /week.
