Mountaineers to play South Dakota State

MORGANTOWN -- The West Virginia University basketball team has now scheduled its third different opponent for the opening round of the Bad Boy Mowers Crossover Classic on Wednesday, Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. in Sioux Falls, South Dakota with the game airing on ESPN2.

The Mountaineers will take on South Dakota State in the event after Texas A&M and Northern Iowa were both scratched from the tournament.

This will be the first matchup between the Mountaineers and the Jackrabbits, who went 22-10 last year.

With a victory, coach Bob Huggins and his squad will advance in the tournament to take on either Utah State or VCU on Thursday, Nov. 26 at either 2:30 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.
